Meet Julie Bentley

Julie Bentley understands that choosing a university and planning for the future can be exciting—but also overwhelming.

After beginning her own university journey in Canada, Julie moved internationally and discovered her passion for helping young people navigate education and career decisions.

While living in Switzerland, Julie worked as a university and career advisor and an English language teacher. Over more than two decades, she supported students from around the world as they explored opportunities, prepared applications, and made important decisions about their futures.

Through this work, Julie recognized that many families needed more personalized guidance than schools were able to provide. She founded Bentley Academic Coaching to offer individualized support and help students confidently navigate the international post-secondary admissions process.

In 2025, Julie and her husband moved to Japan to be closer to family. Having personally experienced international relocation and adapting to new cultures, education systems, and communities, Julie understands the challenges students and families face when navigating change.

Her goal is simple: to bring clarity, confidence, and calm to the university planning journey.
